We had a really wild night thanks to storm Arwen and at 3.30am you couldn’t see out of any of our front windows as they were completely covered in snow! When we got up this morning we saw that our twisted hazel tree had come down during the night so we have spent most of the day outside in the wind and freezing temperatures removing it and chopping it up. After several hours it is all done and both garden rubbish bins are full of the smaller pieces and the trunk and larger branches have been taken to the garden waste skip at the tip.

We have come inside now to warm up and watch Brighton v Leeds on tv.
