G didn't have to go to school today as the entire secondary section are going on a field trip to EXPO2020! She could have gone with them but declined. As for me, I could have joined the company I am doing part-time work for on a similar trip to EXPO2020 - they are joining a global office-wide "Walk the World" campaign to raise money for charity. The other offices have already done their walks, but the Dubai office chose today. I thought it was an inspired decision to choose to walk at EXPO. Not only is there plenty of walking opportunity, but you can also literally, walk the world there!

Sadly, we both had to decline because this is a Thursday when we meet with our intrepid bible learners in the park. Had we known earlier that it would not take place due to several kids calling in sick, we would have had a very different morning/day! As it happens, I ended up working for six hours while G just chilled.

Susan and Gladson invited us to visit their new home. We raced there when we found we could be with them while there was still some light in the sky. Sadly, peak hour traffic meant the sun had gone down by the time we arrived. S&G have moved into the building next door, to a duplex apartment on the 36th floor! They have two balconies! My blip is the view from one of them. The extra is taken at the restaurant we ate. It was August that we saw S&G last, so there was loads to catch up on. Home around midnight, so straight to bed.
