All In Good Time
This old trestle near Whatcom Falls Park was built in 1916 and at one time an important part of the Larsen Mill on the shore of Lake Whatcom but, the lumber mill burnt down in 1963 and the Milwaukee Railroad was shut down. The trestle has been solid for many years after it was abandoned and as a kid, I can remember playing on it many times. Recently it has shifted to one side by several feet, so the city fenced it off and has scheduled to tear it down next summer. Judging from how much it has shifted lately, I think the old trestle will handle things on its own soon.
