Hot Chocolate

Last night we went to the Engine Shed to see Jack Dee. We did not arrive too early, just time to grab a drink and find our seats. For some reason they had chosen to close the curtain, halving the size of the hall, and pack us like sardines into the other half. They did not leave much leg-room/room to walk down the lines to your seats when others were already seated and they even made the rows fully side-to-side. Previous shows we attended have had an aisle through the middle. It seemed like an exercise to cram us in to as small a space as possible for some bizarre reason. I know they'd want it to look like a packed house but if they had allowed more space between the rows and included the centre aisle it would have been much better.

Aside from that the show was excellent. Jack Dee complains about everything but he does it with such wit, sarcasm and frankness that it is hilarious and you often find yourself agreeing with him.

Afterwards we went for a drink in the Tipi. Next time we will avoid sitting next to the constantly slamming door to the toilet area.Hopefully next time there won't be an absolutely drunk party of around six. Two of whom decided to cavort energetically around using tables, support posts, eachother, etc. as props as their mates raucously laughed and cheered them on.The performance reminded me of Grandsons Mal and Theodore's enthusiastic playfights - fine at their age, and not in public! Everyone else looked on disdainfully. When they decided to add taking their clothes off to the routine the security staff intervened. 

We had another couple of drinks in our local, The Birdcage before walking home in the falling snow.

This morning I decided to return the non-fitting black with leopard trim shoes I bought on Friday. The assistant said they had some in the next size in a slightly different colour I could try, but the ones she fetched were plain white. How is that "slightly" different? It's about as different as you can get. I got my refund!

I had "brunch" in Waterstones cafe which included a hot chocolate, - I've been fancying one for a while. I decided to Blip it as I only have it occasionally.

Home now and bangers, mash and veggies are cooking! There's football on later and hobby stuff to be done!
