Surprised to see snow falling as I was setting off to the Co-op about 9.30. The forecast indicated it could stop by 11 so soon after getting home I was out again.

The photo was taken going up Kirkstone Road. I turned right here along a lane but didn’t go as far as I hoped because I encountered ice. Didn’t see it (it was covered with snow) and I quickly hit the ground. I tried again nearer the wall and went down again. It was time to turn around and go home. 

By 2.30 the sky was blue and later the snow on Wansfell looked pink as the sun set.
