Power cut day 3

Sunday ... woke up with still no power. Estimates for restoration said power could come back between 8pm this evening and 6pm Monday. At this point we were running low on lamp oil and bottled gas for the stove. We can boil water and also heat stuff on the log burner but it takes ages. We decided to go into Llangollen and were fortunate to grab some gas and lamp oil. Biggest concern was my dying phone battery so we did a little road trip to a lovely cafe and drank hot chocolate and ate tea cakes until I managed to get a bit of charge on the phone. To great fanfares the power finally came back on about 3pm this afternoon. A massive relief. The freezer is OK, we had to ditch some stuff out of the fridge but not as much as we thought. Every device we have is now being charged!
