Christmas Sunday preparations
It’s official, Alan Titchmarsh confirmed it, this Sunday is the day to put up your Christmas tree. We haven’t put a tree up for a number of years, but we usually start with the outside lights - they are up, on and twinkling away :)
Arranged to visit AJ this afternoon, turned up on time and completed covid process. AJ sitting in the chair, she was pleased to see us but had lots of questions. Where was she, how or where did I fall etc. I think all the moving, one hospital to another, together with her severe sight impairment and not having her home comforts around her, has made her slightly disorientated. She tried to get up and take some steps, but only resulted in falling (gently) back into her chair. The saying of the mind thinks one thing, the body does another. This has left her feeling a but hopeless, in despair. They are looking at discharge this week sometime, so have alerted the home for her to move to a nursing bed. I’m hoping when she is back at the home, things will improve, fingers crossed :)
Stamps on the Christmas cards ready, will hold back until the 1st for posting. Started wrapping presents - this is so unlike me - still many to do but good progress. :)
Daughter sent some lovely photos of the boys as well as their tree - to top it all, we have had snow this evening! :)
