Chandeliers

This afternoon we attended the La Belle Arts dance show at the Assembly Rooms, in which the Flumlet took part. It is a family affair as his Auntie C runs the school and her mother, father, brother, sister (S) and brother-in-law (B) all pitch in to help. We went up to the dressing room afterwards, while the children were being escorted down to their parents for their journey home, to congratulate the Flumlet on his performance.
The 'dressing room' used to be the most exquisite hall in the Assembly Rooms' heyday, boasting enormous chandeliers and mirrors at either end, giving an infinite number of glittering prisms. I couldn't resist a photo on the phone and, although not of top quality it includes Mr Flum, the Flumlet larking about (where does he get his energy?) and, on the right, C herself.

Of course, the auditorium was full despite the overnight snow and subsequent cold - who could possibly miss seeing their children or grandchildren in their hour of glory?
