Lupins by the Motatapu River

Seventeen in the walking group today.  A hot day but plenty of shade beneath the trees.  There are 119 steep steps to get down to the river then the track is fairly flat.  There were quite a few obstructions to negotiate - mostly fallen trees but quite wet in places too.  It is a beautiful walk - three extras, hard to decide on the main blip: the river itself; through the woods and the view from the top before descending to the river.  (We won’t talk about those steps on the way back!)
