Painted Feathers

I didn't go far today, as I'm trying to rest my knee, which is feeling much better now. A stroll down the garden was as far as I went and I was pleased to see that some of the crocuses had opened up a little to the sun. The interiors of this variety reminded me of painted feathers and were rather lovely.

There are still large chunks of snow and ice around in spite of some sunshine, so the weather will have to try harder tomorrow if we're to believe it is Spring:-)
