Sonrise Service
We left the house in the moonlight, and walked together to Wheatmoor Farm, the birds singing louder and louder as it got lighter. Arrived to find about 200 folk from different churches waiting; we climbed the hill together to where we could see the crosses silhouetted. Just as we got there, the sun came up in glory - a perfect moment, and worth the 5am new time (4am yesterday's time) start.
I couldn't spoil the magic by fussing with photos, so this was best I got. We had Communion together, as we slowly froze, and then warmed up in the barn with hot drinks. Over 20 folk then came back to ours for breakfast, and then off to church for the most glorious celebration of Jesus rising - proof that his death really did win the victory...
