Back to the old house

The girls and I visited my Dad at the farm this afternoon. So much of the snow has gone that we can now get the car right to the door. Grace and Ophelia showed their Grandad how to play some of their apps on the iPhone which I think bamboozled him rather: he's 86 in a couple of months' time and isn't very up to date with mobile technology. He kept asking - 'that's a phone????'
This evening I've made a delicious butternut squash risotto for tea. Also have a banana loaf with chocolate and fudge chunks in for afters. Comfort food. I need it. Suffering from serious sleep deprivation!
