Heron up a tree; Arthur's Seat and snow

Mr hazelh is worried that I blip herons too often. I don't agree - and, in any case, this one is different because (a) he is up a tree and (b) he has Arthur's Seat as his backdrop. I took this photograph when we wandered down to Lochend Park this morning. It was icy underfoot, and much of the loch was frozen. Winter is definitely here.

I worked on a grant proposal today.
