Winter soup

Today I have cooked a traditional Granada winter soup. Sopa de escarola.
It is made with endives - escarola -  fried bread, almonds and garlic and a little ham.  Here is the recipe.
It is light but tasty. Perfect for those cold winter days that we have to put up with!

It is difficult to explain what I made my soup with because the vegetable I have used, escarola,  is not exactly endives. It is more like a curly lettuce. In fact it can also be eaten raw in salads, as you can see in my extra. But I don't know the name in English
