Every Worker deserves their Reward

So said Jesus, when sending out his disciples to preach the Good News, and the Big Breakfast on Saturday, only about 200m from this spot, will serve as my reward :-)

I'm not pretending that my work was anything approaching divine, but I do feel that we've done pretty well.  The stones are protecting the bottom of the bank against the stream of water that flows down the lane in a cloudburst; and that coir matting is now unrolled on the bank to stabilise the soil against erosion by rain and it should protect it long enough for the new whips to grow and take over – when we get them.  The company has to grow them for us first.

Sausage, egg, bacon and fried bread, please – the low salt, low fat, variety please :-)
