Intelligence and Wit

Chucked some stale bread out for the birds and the magpie and his mate were frequent visitors at the table today.
The small birds have their seed feeders and don’t bother with the bread, so I’m glad the magpies mopped it up.
Looking up for interesting facts about them, they are said to symbolise intelligence and wit!
A brief respite from the cold today, but dropping again tomorrow I believe.
