Happy birthday AJ

Today AJ (Auntie Joyce) has turned 90 years of age. Shame that she is still in hospital, but hopefully coming out soon. :)

Managed to call AJ on the ward and sing (badly) happy birthday. She is keen to be discharged, doesn’t think they are doing much for her. Don’t think she was in the birthday mood, understandably. She had heard from her sisters and my cousin had managed to visit with a cake (sneaked in a candle), cards and some flowers. Flowers not accepted and after AJ had blown out the candle and had a piece of cake, the remaining cake had to be disposed of. Looking forward to celebrating when recovered. :)

Telephone call from the OT, looking towards discharge on Thursday. Currently needing one, occasionally two, for transfers and support with walking. The main issue is lack of confidence and fear of falling. Talked about sensors for chair and bed once back at the care home, OT will discussed with them. Haven’t heard anything more at close of play today. :)
