Jumping Cholla

Oh boya! One jumped onto the calf of my jeans and the thorns go right through the fabric. I finally got it disentangle from my pant leg and out of my skin. To put it mildly, they hurt. It feels like you've been bitten in several places. I had a good 25 thorns in my leg so headed for home and a pair of tweezers. There is a big bruise because they are just so sharp but I believe they are all out. I sure hope so, I had a thorn in my leg this summer that took 7 weeks for it to surface from an angry spot. I had to work on it for weeks with boiling hot compresses. The desert is sharp!
