Ethel Alice

I was up seeing my parents yesterday so went to West Mersea beforehand. Despite the gloom I had a nice walk there but don’t really understand what people see in the place. This photo is of “Ethel Alice”, an Essex oyster smack built by Aldous of Brightlingsea in 1897 and still going strong by all accounts.
