Emu country

A damp but enjoyable 8 mile jog around commons and trails this morning resulted in a quick blip of a shy emu, a chance encounter with a talented blipper out on a morning cycle ride from the historic sea port of Bideford and several acquaintances who were felling trees in danger of toppling over along the disused Rolle canal, now a bridle way and part of Great Torrington commons. Later in the day Cousin H and I paid a visit to the annual Plough Christmas craft fair, free mince pie and mulled wine for all attendees, a wonderful array of locally made artwork was on show and for sale. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
