NINTH PLANET
While the boys and I were visiting Seaford, Nërp busied himself with some cutting-edge research!
He spent his time re-analysing the data from a now-defunct space telescope, IRAS, from the 1980s
Ever 2006, when Pluto lost its classification as a planet, astronomers have been searching diligently for the new, predicted, ninth planet – and now Nërp claims to have found it!
He announced this morning that the new planet has a mass of at least three to five times that of the Earth, and that he has written to the IAU – the body responsible for naming celestial bodies – proposing that the new planet should be named Nërptune, or possibly Nërpto, in honour of Pluto.
I don't really approve of robots standing on the soft furnishings, but as this was such a big day for Nërp I held my tongue and said nothing.
