Survivor

A survivor of the storm and the frost. 
I had a busy morning as a neighbour had left beetroot at the back door while I was out yesterday so it is now pickled using my Dad's method. While it was boiling I made a batch of shortbread.
My advent calendar has a pencil and a chocolate in it today and as we have no small girls here today I will have to eat the chocolate myself!
