Ouch

Never ignore an itch during the summer around here, well in fact not just summer but anytime the thermometer is over +8°C when ticks become active.

Can never be sure how one gets one, the obvious source is the cats and Luna where they normally feel much more at home. Our pets all have regular tick treatment so that when the tick starts feeding on them they die.

With the excellent cheap plastic tool, the tick was quickly removed complete with the most important part, the head.

As Germans all have a World Health Organisation Vaccine Passport from birth which is also the prime document for Covid-19 vaccines, and I had for obvious reasons had it to hand, checked my tick vaccines! The last one was 2008 and one needs a refresher after 3-5 years! Oh dear!

Luckily the tick was very small & hope it had only just dug in & not had anything nasty to inject into me.
