Dyrafjeld

In my respect for Dyrafjeld, a gem vessel, I stopped and blipped her on my way on an errand today. She is moored to quay in the "backyard" of Oslo harbour, known to a very few. She should have deserved a better fate even if she should be happy she is still floating. Built 1889 in west Norway for sailing in stormy winters of the North Atlantic, she is today among world`s oldest wooden vessels, still sailing. She have sailed from Spitsbergen in the north to Tasmania in the south as well to the Americas. Hard to imagine what this small vessel has experienced in her life. She serves today as a training ship in Oslo.
