Wintry dawn

Up early on Tuesday, to be ready for Frieda's arrival (usually around 8.30). Richard and I were not quite firing on all cylinders, having had our flu jabs on Monday evening and feeling waves of tiredness in response... Whether that was purely physiological or partly psychological.
Either way, we had a quiet day together. Frieda had been up much earlier than we were - 5 a.m. - so for once, it was easy to encourage her into the pushchair for a late morning walk and a nap.
I nipped out for a GP appointment in the late afternoon, to talk to the doc about migraines. With no underlying problems identified either by a CT scan or blood tests, we moved onto discussing better treatments and I have a new prescription to use for the early stages of an attack. Fingers crossed.
Frieda stayed with us for tea, as both Jack and Marianna had late meetings. Then I drove her home for bath and bedtime with Jack.
Frieda's chat is getting more and more sophisticated, with periodic and effortless slipping between English and Greek. She's also turning a corner in terms of potty training; she's reached that point where the nappies are beginning to annoy her, I think, and so she's keen to tell us when she needs the loo. All good.
