Lest we forget- Berlin 1

As promised here is the first of some selected shots from our schools history dept trip to Berlin. This is from the allied war cemetery, in the outskirts of the city centre. We asked the students to see if they could identify as many nationalities and regiments as they could from the graves, and the vast number of regiments and nations who gave their lives for Britain in ww2 is astounding! We even found some soldiers from Poland! Considering the cemetery is located very close to a main road, it is very peaceful and unassuming; the snow only further highlighted this. We all left very moved and thoughtful, and it highlighted to us all how much of a 'world war' it really was!!
