Waning Crescent

It was lovely to see this waning moon through the frosty air when I woke up this morning.  There will be a new moon tomorrow.  At this point the night side of the moon is facing the earth, with only a small edge of the moon being illuminated. ( so I have read!)
A cold day at work and although I was keen to go ahead with an allotment session is was far to icy for the small children I was teaching today.  Instead we went to the park for a woodland play session.
Am going out for a meal tonight which I shall enjoy.
