Roadmap Out Of Lockdown Step 4 - Day 137
Treefest, St Mary Redcliffe Church, Bristol
“Treefest is a spectacular festive display of Christmas trees held within the splendid gothic church of St Mary Redcliffe. The festival is a fabulous celebration of the diversity of creative talent in Bristol and a chance to learn more about the groups behind the trees...” https://www.stmaryredcliffe.co.uk/treefest
A mini adventure this morning, and a short train journey into Bristol with my Bus Challenge friend to visit St Mary Redcliffe’s Treefest. As well as enjoying all the cute little Christmas trees, created by a wide variety of local groups, we got to listen to a visiting primary school choir. Jingle Bells had me feeling all nostalgic for past Christmases at school, always my favourite time of year, especially with all the glitter!
A beautiful Winter’s blue sky day, 3 degrees on the thermometer this morning but felt bitterly cold in the wind. Came home and had to have a long hot bath to warm up; managed not to fall asleep this time, just! In total I was only out 2 hours, but my mini adventure was a much needed break.
Total train journey time = 15 mins!
(Too many pretty trees to just blip/decide on one, so more in extras. In fact, my third extra is actually my favourite photo from the morning, not a Christmas tree in sight!)
Take care, stay safe and well...
