Easter gift
One of the children that I take to school bought me these lovely flowers for Easter and as I left my camera at home today they have become my slightly emergency blip.
Had another great day today. Collected the children from their Dads and headed into Exeter with Paul for him to get some bits to take on his visit to family in Canada in a week (he is going to need to leave clothes behind to make room for bisto gravy, chocolate etc) and for me to get some clothes for the twins. Erin mainly needed accessories but Jacks was trousers and tops. I let him have a fairly free rein on what he chose and apart from the slight dip when he pointed out what I can only describe as "lout on holiday in Majorca outfit" he has chose with a good eye.
Had my third scary Mum moment ever today (the first was Jack and Erin having a full on meningitis scare as babies, quarantined the lot, the second them running across a road after letting go of my hand ) when Jack tumbled backwards down the escalator. He loves them and doesn't want to stand on the same step as me and when it gets near the top he likes to turn and finish it backwards. Today he had just got on one step behind me and about half way up decided that was too near me. As he took a step down I saw him fall backwards out the corner of my eye. Did my first ever scream out of my childs name, and ran down behind him watching him backwards roly-poly down. He was looking at me in fear and would then roll again. It seemed in slow motion and was awful, even Erin was upset. Thankfully he was fine but it scared us all. He recovered in minutes but I'm not sure I'll feel happy on an escalator with him again.
Headed back to Pauls this afternoon and all sat on the sofa watching the kids films, Jumanji and Hook and eating chocolate. Perfect.
