Waiting
...for Spring.
Still the snow lies and we wait for signs that these daffodils will bloom. They are well over a month later than last year. When I was discussing this with the owner of a local garden centre, he told me the wholesale growers are ripping out their spring bedding plants as the season is over and the plants haven't bloomed. He also said his father told him of the winter of 1947, which lasted so long that Spring was lissed, BUT there was a fantastic summer.
Cross everything blippers.
At least I got the bare rooted hedging ready for the ground thawing enough to plant it.
Waiting for Ru to arrive home for a couple of days before he hit the road to Germany.
:-)
