Wolf River Apples in oils

I'm nearly done with my apple still life. These were absolutely enormous apples, from a tree planted by my great grandfather, in Machiasport Maine, in the late 1800s. The wooden bowl, also a family heirloom was large enough to hold these apples that were a truly a handful. I've had fun finding them, picking them, making delicious applesauce from this bowlful and now painting them on canvas.

For the Record,
This day came in cold and sunny.

All hands very wary
