where my birds?

I went to feed the birds this morning and, other than my murder, they weren't there. This was weird. I looked up and thought I saw a hawk so I got my longest lens and ... it was a dove .... doing a hawk impersonation.

It did mean that I had my long lens on when I walked Samuel and saw deer.

The wonderful news of the day is that Karen got her booster shot! She got the Johnson and Johnson and so qualified for a booster ages ago. She was waiting to feel well before getting her booster, figuring we're so careful there was no rush. Omicron created the rush. Tonight we learned of a case in Maryland.

I had lunch with a corporeal 3D being. Yo, when I invited you over for dessert on Thanksgiving I thought you would finish the cake-pie! Imagine my surprise to find you had left so much in the frig! I put it in the freezer and brought it to him, he has a family, it will be much safer to have all of them eat it.

Bethesda has shut down one of its streets and there is dining on the sidewalk and in the street. Little heaters and coats made 54 degree (12 degree C) dining just fine. I was able to eat in public without getting food all over myself, so I'm doing better.

He is one of my most fabulous co-workers, the one everyone referred me to whenever I asked who was best at x, y, or z and could advise me.

He was one of the people who went to London the other week. He's amazed it wasn't a super spreader event. They gave him take-home tests so he was able to check again right before Thanksgiving.

I told him all about my fabulous new garden and why it is such a blessing.

My reaction to the will and testament was to go plant another tree. I have no more space, so what will I do next time?

You know the little blossoms on snowdrops? Imagine dainty little blossoms like that, but with subtle little streaks of red. Now imagine them on a tree. I'm just kidding, there is no way something like that could be real. If it were real though, it would be from Japan and named Enkianthus campanulatus and only the finest gardening wizards would know about it.
