The Wave

Year 2 Day 256 of UK COVID-19 Pandemic.  First UK/World Vaccine 360 days ago.  UK open and Overseas travel with restrictions.

Cardiff City FC kicked off at 3pm against Sheffield United, so I travelled to the oldest son's house in Newport City to watch it on live stream. There was a minute silence for my all time favourite player, and fellow Cardiff born player Phil Dwyer. He lived near me growing up. He died in the week aged 68. He holds the record appearances for Cardiff and joined the Police when he finished playing. I last spoke to him in 2004 and he'd put a lot of weight on - blaming it on an all-inclusive holiday to Kenya!  :)


After going a goal ahead we had our Captain sent off and eventually lost the game 2-3. A good match to watch despite losing.

On the way home I stopped off in Newport City overlooking the high tide River Usk towards the Indoor Market and The Wave sculpture. Nice colours reflected in the Usk.
