Hooded Merganser

Today was a busy day running errands it was mostly cloudy and windy. I got out for a walk in the afternoon and spotted a hooded Merganser duck on the lake. It was not the best shot as the duck stayed near the middle of the lake. This duck does not normally make this lake his home so I suspect it is only a stopover until the duck continues to fly south for the winter.
