Slateford Aqueduct
Out running with 'R' early this morning - weather much improved here in Edinburgh and a really glorious Winter-light accompanied us along our whole route :-)
The snap shows one of the Slateford Aqueduct arches - there are eight arches in total, and they carry the Union Canal above for some 500-feet ... and below you can just make out The Water of Leith.
As I'm sure I've said before; it's a wonderful 'junction' of two ribbons of water that run right across Edinburgh, both with footpaths/towpaths for their whole lengths.
