Getting to know you

Day Two of our getting to know my counterpart.  To be honest it has been really great to meet in person and create the relationships that virtual working does not help with.  I think we're in a better position now and it would be good to get the whole European team together in the new year, especially with the pressure from the ExCo now.

Tatjana had to catch a bus at lunchtime then to get back to Heathrow, she was very brave to rely on British public transport to get her there.

Steph and I had a good afternoon then talking strategy for next year and also the future, she's always prepared to challenge the status quo which is good.

Left late and it was a nightmare journey home, finally arriving just before 8:30pm.  And back to the news that we have a new COVID-19 variant now from South Africa, which Tatjana won't be happy about as she was supposed to go to South Africa for Christmas.

Today I am thankful for:

1.  Building relationships with Tatjana
2.  Positive strategy discussions
