Long day

This ominous looking apparatus hangs above my head. I assume it is a hoist to lift up very heavy patients and thus not risk the health of the staff. It will not be used for this bag of bones.

I was due to have my first skin graft today (Sunday) and have been Nil by Mouth since last night. As time ticked on I began to suspect that emergencies, etc took precedence and at 4 pm I was told that the procedure was cancelled.

I broke my fast on yesterday’s Challah and a lot of water.
