Light Waves
Not a good nights sleep, was still awake gone 3 am, almost got up, but resisted, and must have got off towards 4……needless to say it was gone 9.30 when I woke up, feeling less than refreshed!
Dragged myself up eventually, had a shower, put some laundry on, made a late brunch, bacon, egg, beans and brown toast, with a cuppa……went down nicely.
Next I went outside, cleared up what is hopefully the last lot of leaves, then set about putting up the Christmas lights outside. One of my neighbours came to check in case I needed a hand, but I managed to get the job done myself.
Coloured lights in the magnolia tree, they used to be my mums….cool white lights across the top of the garage and also around the porch. Then around the back, another set around the decking area, balustrade and spindles.
I came indoors, got changed, took the laudry out of the dryer, grabbed my camera and rucksack, wrapped myself up in a warm coat, a woolly hat and gloves and headed off, via Costa, to meet the lovely Beewriter.
We were off to see “The World…..otherwise known as The Fire Within”.Those of you who follow my blips will know I tried to see this a week or so ago, at Pennington Flash, but thanks to Storm Arwen, it got taken down about an hour before I got there. Well what d’ya know, only the same flipping thing again…yes, it was deflated when we got there, but thankfully at least there were the other Light Waves installations to keep us entertained.
We walked a fair few steps, Ive currently done almost 12k, took loads of photos, our fav was the mermaids, but not easy to photograph :-/
This is one of my fav shots across the Quay with all the coloured reflections, so so pretty!
We treated ourselves to a hot drink and a piece of tiffin, whilst we sat for 10 minutes people watching. Another wander before heading back to the car, drove home having said our goodbyes, until the next mini blip meet.
Home, put the lights on outside, all looking festive, had a snack, bacon tomato and cheese on toast, my pork steak, veg and potatoes can wait until tomorrow….didnt fancy it at 9pm lol.
Spoke to middle son, caught up with daughter earlier……we are all hanging in there, some days better than others, for me personally, today has been. relatively good day, made up for the photography disappointment yesterday in Haworth. It was chilly tonight, but a nice and crisp night, no wind or rain :-)
My team managed to sneak a win earlier…..they were at home just across the water, which no doubt contributed to just how busy it was in the area……think we timed it just right!,
Monday looming again!!!
