Place of peace

We attended the funeral of a friend's husband today at Broulee Memorial Gardens and Crematorium. We had never met him, but know he suffered much pain in his last few months and, with our grieving friend, we are glad that is over for him.

I took a couple of pictures in the Chapel just before the service began, but have decided it would be intrusive to use them. However, I noticed in the grounds a memorial to local servicemen and women, and thought the creative representation of the Army, the Navy and the Air Force was worth commemorating.
