Moorhen

have spent much of the day so far sorting out things for Christmas. It is wet and windy outdoors so not much point being outside.

Today's picture is of a Moorhen. It is a while since we saw any in the garden so I suspect that we might have water in our natural pond. It is too wet to go and look; maybe tomorrow.

The temperature at GMT today in my home village was four degrees Celsius. It was misty this morning and it never seemed to clear properly.
