Mahonia Monday

Some brightness for a mostly miserable grey and wet day! Yuck! Did finally see the sun just as it was setting, and not sure we'll see it tomorrow with another storm on the horizon!

Made it out in the dry first thing to do some food shopping on Canvey, and thankfully the shops were nice and empty! And on the way back we stopped at the local post office, which was not so empty! Everyone had the same idea today it seemed but it was worth braving the queues to post off a few cards and presents to friends and family! Fair play to the post office staff - there was only 1 lady behind the counter today but she kept on smiling despite the queue she faced!

The mahonia in the garden is keeping any bees still out there happy, and me too as I just love the yellow flowers!
