Vandalism by intent?

It developed a lean even worse than this.  I didn't quite have to crawl under it but it could not be left as was.
I kept inserting a prop which refused to stay in position.

Enter - the small screw.  It must be all of 0.5" long ≈ 10-12 mm - into the bark, maybe the Cambium; but I doubt it'll be far into sapwood.

I can't see it coming to much harm.  If you need proof, do a search for "Tree grew round object" &/or see the extra here.
