The Principality Stadium & a very excited Boychild
We really did have the best day. I have forgotten what Cardiff is like on match day and we both loved the atmosphere.
A bus ride into town from the hotel and then a couple of hours just wandering, soaking up the atmosphere. Visiting the castle and the Christmas market, getting our faces painted and buying him a commemorative scarf. Then it was our allotted time to go in and he couldn't quite believe how close to the pitch we were 6 rows back.
Such a good game, so close, Wales snatching a win from the jaws of defeat by one point at the whistle. Then we hung around as the stadium emptied, watching Gabby Logan, Alun Wyn Jones and Jamie Roberts interviewing Wayne Pivac. While we were doing this the Welsh team did a lap on honour and whilst most kept a (safe) distance from the few supporters that were left, Seb Davies came down to the hoardings and chatted to a few. Will managed to get a selfie with him (see extras) which completed his day.
Everywhere was heaving afterwards, too busy for us both so we got the bus back hoping for food at the hotel but we were a few minutes too late. Even that didn't spoil his day as he was happy with a flapjack from the machine and a couple of muffins I had left over from yesterday.
All in all a really fun day, one I will happily repeat with him another year
