Friend K needed help. Her sons desperately wanted to connect a sound bar to their TV. The logical place for it was under the TV, which stands on legs. Unfortunately there wasn’t quite enough clearance, so she asked me to make these little blocks with recesses for the legs.

This looks deceptively simple, but it’s not easy working on small objects with large power tools. I won’t bore you with all the details. I’ll just say that I routed the four recesses in a row on a single piece of wood and then separated the blocks. 

K and sons were delighted with the result (extra by K) and I was rewarded with a delicious loaf of home baked bread.
