Family favourite

As long as we have lemons on our trees I make this wonderful old lemon jelly recipe of legend Alison Holst for Dr D. In fact I make a double quantity .
It has such wonderful flavour and genuine sweet tang . As you can see the recipe book is a vintage model...at least 40 odd years of use and suitably stained with the odd lemon juice splash.
In the extra, is a wee pansy which wins the prize for tenacity. I spotted it dancing  between the interface of concrete and concrete pavers just outside the stitching cave. Self-sown and blooming like a bride : ))
