New member

A new member of the gang arrived today, wearing ear muffs and scarf as it is a cold and very wet day.  He seems to be well accepted so far.

I cooked a pork roast for lunch.  Haven’t quite mastered the new oven yet and some of the potatoes were overdone, others rather pale and soft.  I will work out how to get this right ready for the Christmas lunch!

A lot of parcels arrived today, so I had fun finding out what was in them ready for wrapping.  Our mail delivery is almost non-existent at the moment.  We still haven’t had last week’s TV guide and no letters or cards in the last four delivery days either.  I really don’t know what’s going on, but maybe problems of Covid and self-isolation.  I heard today that 13 members of our last church have contracted Covid.  There has been so little mask-wearing in churches generally, including our current one (until last week after some people went down with C).  We still watch online.
