Several loads of orienteering washing to do today so it was lovely to be popping in and out of the kitchen door to the sound of birds trying to outdo each other in song to attract mates. Suddenly the tone of the calls changed to alarm as a larger shape flew past and into the elder tree...this sparrowhawk.
