Knitted Tree

Shopping in Howick (NZ) today and came across this knitted Christmas tree. Made by local knitting groups to raise money for charities it features lovely detail and was a joy to see. My 93 year old Mum knitted hundreds of scarves for the homeless over the past few years but now in a rest home near this tree, so felt quite moved at seeing this… particularly as I haven’t seen her for almost four months because of our lockdown. So an uplifting yet sad day.
