Lensbaby Trio Lens Comparison
The Lensbaby trio is a lens with three different optics designed into it. The lens, only for mirrorless cameras, has a 28mm focal length. The three optics are 'Twist', 'Sweet' and Velvet.
I have been playing with lens now for a few weeks. its a manual focus lens and I find its essential to have focus peaking switched on. I am using this with a Canon R full frame mirrorless camera.
I have a Lensbaby Composer with Sweet 50mm optic and really love the effect and was pleased that the Sweet 28 optic of this lens works well for me. I was  looking forward to the Twist Optic and have not been disappointed with the results. 
I have read articles about the Velvet 28 being nowhere near as good as the Velvet 85, particularly as a portrait lens. At the moment I am finding this optic the most difficult to focus. I appreciate that it is designed to give that dreamy soft focus look but at 28mm it may be a bit too much. Time will tell I guess.
