Storm bird

Today has been pretty awful from a weather viewpoint. High winds, lashing rain and a sprinkle of snow for good measure. Terrible light that at times felt like it was almost night.

At one point I couldn't actually hold the camera up to my eye because the wind was so strong it kept buffeting the lens so much that there was no chance of holding it steady.

Anyway in the middle of all this I did manage to get a usable photo of this chaffinch.
